The essentials
- No account and no sign-up. The app does not ask you for your name, email address, nationality or any document.
- Your progress stays on your phone. The publisher has no server that receives it.
- No advertising, no audience measurement, no trackers.
What is stored on your phone
Your settings (track, language, exam date if you enter one), your answers, your results, your favourites, your reviews and the status of your purchases. This data is not sent to the publisher. It may be included in your phone's backup (Google or iCloud), depending on your own settings.
In Réglages > Mes données (Settings > My data), you can export it, import it or delete everything. Uninstalling the app also erases it. Deleting your data does not cancel a purchase.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Google Play or the App Store, under their own terms and privacy policies. The publisher does not receive your bank details. The app keeps on your phone the proof of purchase provided by the store (product purchased, transaction identifier) in order to activate the purchased features, even offline.
Reminders and read-aloud
Study reminders are local notifications, switched off by default; they do not transmit any data.
Read-aloud uses your phone's speech engine. The app does not send the text to the publisher. Depending on the engine installed and your settings, the system may use an online service from its provider (for example Google or Apple).
If you write to us
If you report an error or contact support, we receive your email address and the content of your message (the app only adds the identifier of the question concerned). We use them only to reply to you and to correct the content, and then we delete them no later than 12 months after the last exchange. Nothing is sent without your action.
Technical reports
Google and Apple may send the publisher anonymous or aggregated crash reports, depending on your device settings. The app does not include any other tracking tool.
Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and restriction provided for by the GDPR (the EU General Data Protection Regulation, RGPD in French). Your progress data is on your phone: you can view it, export it and delete it yourself. For messages you have sent us, write to hola@opetest.es.
You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, the French data protection authority, www.cnil.fr) or with the data protection authority of your country.
Audience
The app is intended for adults preparing for the examen civique (French civic exam).
Changes
Any change to this policy will be dated and indicated in the app and on the app's website.
